Nelson Marwa,the no nonsense commissioner, ordered the withdrawal of all the bodyguards of Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho.
Nelson Marwa is a son of a missionary and grew up in Tanzania .He holds three masters degrees.
The Mombasa commissioner is among the few most educated people among the Kuria community. Shocking details about his education background shows that he studied business administration at Baraton University before going to Australia for his masters.
Mr Marwa has a Masters in Strategic Security Management from Virginia School of Coast Guards and a Masters in Disaster management from Israel.
He worked as a lecturer at Egerton University in 1991 before joining provincial administration.
Since his deployment to the Coast, Marwa has managed to reduce the rate of crime significantly. He is the only known Commissioner dedicated to his work.
