Barely two months after Jaguar was appointed by the president to join NACADA executive board,the singer has tendered his resignation.
Charles Kanyi aka Jaguar cited frustrations from corrupt officials at NACADA as the main reason why he resigned;John Mututho has also complained of the same and despite president Uhuru’s promise to deal with corruption mercilessly ,no serious step has been taken.
Jaguar was appointed to NACADA board by President Uhuru Kenyatta earlier this year because of his great influence on the youth population.He is expected to use his position to advice youths on the effects of alcohol and other harmful drugs.
Though the singer is not a Degree holder,the position of Board member is open to anyone who can deliver regardless of academic qualifications.
