Orange Democratic Movement, under the Leadership of Raila Odinga, has threatened to boycott the 2017 general elections.

The ODM leader who lost in 2013 to Uhuru Kenyatta believes that the Independent Electoral and Boundary Commission will not conduct next general election in a free and fair manner.Since the commission is the one mishandled the 2013 elections, the former Prime Minister claims that they can easily be manipulated by the Jubilee administration, hence giving Uhuru Kenyatta undue advantage.

Another reason why they have threatened to boycott is the tough conditions requiring all political parties to open offices in not less than half of the 47 counties, which is unrealistic.

Raila Odinga has vowed to fight to the bitter end to win the Presidency in the next general election since it will be  his last chance in the race.

On Friday,IEBC launched its strategic plan, ignoring calls by CORD to postpone it until all issues raised by the opposition are resolved.
