Kenya premier league champions Gor Mahia came from behind to stun Yanga of Tanzania 2-1 in a dramatic encounter.
The game which was played at the National Stadium in Dar es salaam, Tanzania witnessed several chances. Yanga was the first one to score with Dirkir Glay deflecting Donald Ngoma’s shot into his own net.
Gor then equalized with a goal from Harun Shakava header. The goal shifted the tides with Yanga literary left to chase shadows throughout the match.
The last and winning goal came from Olunga in the second half of the match, which put the last nail in Yanga’s coffin.
Gor Mahia went into the game with swag and class since President Kenyatta had assured them of return air ticket, they had also received $4000 from Raila Odinga during the recent Harambee which was conducted to support their CECAFA club challenge campaign.
