Nairobi Senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko was on Saturday awarded a Degree in Business Administration from Kenya Methodist University.
Sonko who looked sharp and jovial during the ceremony had this to say:
” I am not graduating to contest for the position of Nairobi Governor ,but I simply enrolled for this course so as to gain knowledge to help me serve my people well”
The ceremony was attended by Deputy President who congratulated the youthful Senator.
Sonko is likely to contest for Gubernatorial seat in 2017 given that now he is a degree holder.The New constitution stipulates that for one to contest for the position of a Governor they must be Degree holders.
In readiness for the 2017 race, the Senator has introduced Sonko Rescue Team which helps Nairobi Citizens solve their social problems especially during emergencies.
