Gor Mahia have secured their place in Cecafa Kagame Cup final after beating Al Khartoum of Sudan 3-1 in Dar es Salaam.
Al Khartoum were the first ones to score through Amin Elmani after three minutes of play but Michael Olunga equalized in the 23rd minute. Innocent Wafula scored the second goal which propelled Gor Mahia to the finals.
The Kenya Premier League champion seeks redeem their regional image through this trophy; it’s more important to them since they haven’t won any regional silver ware for decades.
Gor Mahia won the trophy in 1985 and they are expected to face Azam FC in the finals which is expected to be played at the same pitch.
