President Uhuru Kenyatta was in Kisumu on Friday to host the winners of this year’s Kenya National Music festival national competition at Kisumu’s State House.
Though Kisumu is Raila Odinga’s turf,many residents took to the streets to welcome their President.This was a good gesture considering that Kenya is highly divided in tribal lines.
Uhuru was very excited to see a crowd which was very hostile in the past cheering him as they chant,’president’.’president..
As Uhuru was in Kisumu,Raila Odinga was touring Coast region to consolidate his vote basket.The region is seen to be slowly shifting their allegiance to the ruling coalition.
