President Uhuru Kenyatta has donated Ksh 2.5 million to Gor Mahia for their excellent performance during the just concluded Cecafa senior challenge cup in Tanzania.
Gor Mahia lost 2-0 to Azam in the Cecafa finals,which is quite commendable for a team which has never won the trophy since 1985.
Following their good performance, the President awarded them a cash prize of Ksh 2.5 million through the club’s chairman, Ambrose Rachier.

The team currently tops the Kenya Premier League with a significant gap at the top of the table, they are also title holders.
