The match between Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards was called off on Sunday after hooligans disrupted the game in the 64th minute at Nyayo Stadium.
The match was called off when AFC Leopards fans started causing trouble following a decision by the referee to award Gor Mahia a penalty; AFC defender Jackson Saleh had handled the ball inside the 18-yard box.
The match between the two teams has always brought excitements as fans of each team try to outdo each other on and off the pitch. Sometimes violence is witnessed when the results don’t favour one of the teams.
Scheduling of the game is expected to be done this week after a decision has been arrived by the Kenya Premier League management.
