Governor Alfred Mutua’s youths on Friday disrupted a rally organized by Kalonzo Musyoka in Kasikeu, Makueni County.
The youths who didn’t want to hear anything to do with Kalonzo Musyoka in Ukamabani cheered each other as they kicked and threw seats randomly. The youths later started singing maendeleo chap chap slogan as they dispersed a crowd which had gathered to listen to Kalonzo’s speech.
The incident forced Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Jnr, Machakos Deputy Governor Bernard Kiala and Makueni MP Daniel Maanzo to run for their dear lives.
When Kalonzo heard that things are not okay the other side, he ordered the driver to turn the car and speed off.
A commission which was formed by President Uhuru Kenyatta to look into Makueni’s case had submitted a report on Monday recommending for dissolution of the county.Kalonzo was therefore expected at Makueni to campaign for Kivutha Kibwana.
Is Mutua’s popularity endangering Kalonzo’s political supremacy in the region?
