Former President Mwai Kibaki might be embarrassed soon after failing to settle Ksh500, 000 water bill.
Othaya Mukurweini Water Company, which supplies Kibakis Othaya home with water, announced on Thursday through the company’s Auditor Mr Peter Ndirangu that they have decided to disconnect Kibaki’s home with water over the accrued bill.
The company approached the former President in 2012 requiring him to pay the bill but he only managed to pay Ksh 200,000 through State House. Efforts to rich him settle the remaining amount hit a snag.
Mr Ndirangu said while appearing before the Nyeri county assembly on Thursday that the bills have accumulated to half a million and Kibaki is the largest individual debtor in the county.
