Nairobi Senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko has decided to do away with his Sonko Rescue Team which he launched in 2014.
Speaking during the burial of his father Gideon Kioko Kivanguli,Sonko confirmed that he is not interested in competing with Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero since the former Mumias CEO has decided to work with him.
The Senator added that all the vehicles in his rescue team will be donated to Nairobi County Government to help in service delivery; others will be donated to various institutions within the County.
Sonko was heavily criticized for introducing the team to sabotage Kidero’s work in the County, even the President told him to go slow, clarifying that Nairobi has only one Governor. He told Sonko to wait until 2017 elections and if people will elect him, then he’ll be free to introduce his services for the County.
