How to Get a Certificate of Good Conduct in Kenya

Certificate of Good Conduct has become one of the basic requirements for anyone to secure a Job in Kenya. The certificate can be processed at the CID headquarters along Kiambu Road or Huduma Centres.
The following is the process of acquiring certificate of good conduct in Kenya.

Requirements:
To get this certificate you are required to have;
• You should be above 18 years.
• Produce original and copy of your National Identity Card
• Payment of shs 1,000 to a cashier at CID offices.
• You should also have no criminal record

Where to obtain the Certificate of Good Conduct:
This certificate can be obtained at CID headquarters along Kiambu Road in Muthaiga
Those residing outside Nairobi can obtain their Certificates from Divisional CID offices in their respective regions
Once you have applied for this certificate you are issued with a receipt which you are required to produce when you go to collect your Certificate

Waiting Duration:
The Certificate of Good Conduct takes one to two weeks to process after which you can go to collect it.
