Ebru Africa is set to rebrand in 2016 after failing to make a significant impact in the media industry.

The station, which is among the many stations owned by Somanyolu Broadcasting Corporation, has been making losses for the last six months. The management resolved to retrench most of their employees to a manageable number.

Already, more than 6 employees have been shown the door while others have been instructed not to report to work in January.

The station is expected to undergo reorganization, which will see most of its programs dropped to give way to programs that could attract advertisements. The company is also expected to relocate to Westlands Nairobi.

This has been the worst year for the media industry. Several media stations have closed doors for most of its employees. They include NTV, Nation FM, Standard Media Group, K24 and Milele FM.
