Uganda Ready to Host Pope Francis

Pope Francis is expected to complete his visit to Kenya today and proceed to Uganda, where he is expected to meet Christians and politicians.

He is expected to arrive in Uganda some minutes to 5 pm where he will be received by his host President Yoweri Museveni.He will then proceed to State House Uganda for a meeting with Museven, his wife, Janet Museveni, opposition and church leaders.

The ministry of health has deployed 400 health personnel and 38 ambulances to handle emergencies that may arise during Pope’s visit. The government has also tightened security in the whole country, including Entebbe Airport where Pope will land.

During his visit to Kenya, Pope advised leaders to help the less fortunate in the society and also deal with corruption, which has tainted Kenya’s image globally. He is expected to hold talks with President Museveni and opposition leaders, which will revolve around the 2016 general elections.
