Former Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru’s home was raided on Tuesday morning by Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission detectives.

The EACC members stormed Waiguru’s home at 6 am and searched for crucial documents in every corner of the houses and compound, including holes. The exercise lasted for more than 30 minutes which saw the detectives picking crucial documents that they believe could help in the probe.

The raid was also conducted at the homes of former Devolution and Planning Principal Secretary Peter Mangiti and Former National Youth Service Director Nelson Githinji

The National Youth Service lost over Sh791 million through corrupt deals, which led to resignation of Waiguru and Githinji. The two are adversely mentioned in the scandals involving inflation of figures for contracts.

Though Waiguru has not been prosecuted, her name might be in the list of Kenyans who have been barred by the US government from visiting the country.
