Former Devolution Cabinet Secretary Ann Waiguru has started unleashing what she thinks about Uhuru and Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission.
Waiguru, through her Lawyer lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi, has blamed the office of the President and EACC for her endless woes. According to Waiguru, EACC lacks independence; it has been reduced to a department of Office of the President.
The former iron lady stated that the anti-corruption body lacks the capacity to investigate her because it takes instructions from the President. She added that she is the most innocent person who is only targeted by jealous people.
The EACC has indicated that they would conduct thorough investigation and ensure those who squandered Sh791 million belonging to NYS are prosecuted and jailed.
IEBC CEO Halakhe Waqo, while speaking to Citizen TV, indicated that the commission is independent and no one should expect to be favoured.He reiterated that investigations are in top gear and soon the culprits will be known.
