Even as controversy surround the death of Fidel Odinga, his mother, Mama Ida still believes Raila’s Political enemies killed her son. Speaking to a local TV Station, Ida narrated how the death of their first born is still fresh within her, one year since his demise.
Ida believes one day truth will be unearthed and justice will be done.
Even as she eulogizes beloved son, her husband, Raila Odinga,has also remembered one of his best friends. In a letter written to the nation, friends and relatives, the thanks everyone for their contribution during the trying moments.

One year has now gone by. You are sadly missed but fondly remembered by your parents, Rt. Hon Raila Odinga and Dr. Ida Odinga, your wife Lwam and your darling son Allay, your siblings Rosemary, Raila Jr, Yvonne and Winnie, your nieces Saphie and Senayi, uncles, aunties, cousins and all your relatives and friends.
