Risper Ongwena will be remanded for at least one week after she was found in possession of 2 plastic chairs worth Sh1, 000
According to the 87-year old granny, her grandson stole the two chairs in December and left them in her house. He then took off after realizing the owner was about to recover his seats.
Risper was arrested at her Migori home this week .She will be charged for handling stolen property.
The poor woman could not even express herself during the interview with the media because of old age. One could wonder, is the law only applicable to the poor!
