Secret opinion poll conducted in Kericho County has revealed that Paul Sang, Kanu candidate, will emerge victorious with 67 % of the total votes to be cast.

The opinion, which was conducted between January 10 to February 15, indicated that Jubilee Party candidate Aaron Cheruiyot will walk home with 32 % of the votes, with other candidates sharing the remaining 1 %.

The result comes at a time when Deputy President William Ruto is facing a revolt at his own backyard for neglecting his people the entire period he has been the Deputy President. The South Rift residents have tasked Ruto to show them what tangible project he has implemented since he formed the government.

Ruto was seen begging Kericho residents to elect his candidate, Aaron Cheruiyot, even though he has wronged them. But the residents told him they have moved on and KANU is the party they recognize in the area.

It will be a huge task for William Ruto to win back South Rift Region, which is under the control of Bomet Governor Isaack Ruto.
