Aaron Cheruiyot of JAP floored KANU’s Paul Sang to become the Senator for Kericho County.
Cheruiyot, 29, garnered more than 110,000 votes against Paul Sang’s 55,000 votes to clinch the hotly contested seat.
Deputy President William Ruto and JAP leaders were excited to see their candidate win the seat which could easily go to KANU and end Ruto’s career.
The emergency of Gideon Moi and KANU had put enough pressure to RUTO, prompting him to camp in Kericho for a whole one week to ensure his candidate wins the most important seat.
It is a big blow for Gideon Moi,Oscar Sudi,Isaack Ruto,Magerer Langat,Alfred Keter and KANU has a whole.
