Mourning was the order of the weekend at Kabianga University after a student, identified as Edwin Mogaka, committed suicide after losing Sh 20,000 to Sportpesa.
Mogaka, who follows English Premier League like a possessed man, was sure Chelsea would punish Everton; he went to a nearby MPESA and deposited Sh 20, 000, which he then forwarded to Sportpesa through the number 955100.
It seems his ancestors had cursed him! Minutes into second half of the match, Everton scored the first goal.Mogaka started shaking profusely, cursing the referee. But when the second goal was scored, he rose from his seat while clicking at intervals.
Mogaka’s body was seen minutes later hanging from a tree.
