Former Police Spokesman Eric Kiraithe has been appointed the new Government Spoksperson, replacing Manoah Esipisu.
A statement sent to the news room read:
“The Government has today made significant changes to its communication architecture to ensure timely, consistent, coherent, and coordinated communication to the public on all matters relating to The National Government’s agenda.
To this end, the Government has today appointed Mr. Eric Kiraithe to the position of National Government Spokesperson.
Mr. Kiraithe, who has a long and distinguished history of public service mainly in the security sector, will take up his new post immediately, moving from his current role as General Manager for Security Services at the Kenya Airports Authority. Mr. Kiraithe is a former National Police Service Spokesperson.
The Office of the National Government Spokesperson will function from the State Department of Interior and Coordination of National Government while the Office of the State House Spokesperson will remain within the Executive Office of the President”.
