The Kenya National Examinations Council has been disbanded, according to Education Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiangi.
Former Nairobi Vice Chancellor, Professor George Magoha, has been appointed the chairman, replacing Joseph Kivilu.
The CS has warned that the officials will face arrest and prosecution over rampant exam cheating.
The commission was blamed for leaking the 2015 KCSE examinations, leading to rampant cheating. They later denied the accusation but Matiangi promised to take action.
