Nairobi student leader, Babu Owino, has been arrested for allegedly beating up his closest rival Mike Jacob.
Babu was arrested on Wednesday night and taken to Kilimani police station where he slept the whole night.
Owino, who is the longest serving student leader in East and Central Africa, will be arraigned in court on Thursday morning where the court is expected to open assault file against him.
It is reported that after Owino assaulted the suspended UoN aspirant, Mike Jacobs, the latter reported the matter to the police, which prompted the authority to start investigations into the issue.
If found guilty,Owino will be forced to break his bank account and pay a sum of not less than Sh 500,000 or get imprisoned for a period of not less than 1 year.
