Former first lady Lucy Kibaki was buried on Saturday 7/5/2016 at her home in Othaya.
The late Lucy’s funeral was attended by former Tanzanian President Jakaya Kikwete, President Uhuru Kenyatta and many other dignitaries. However, conspicuously missing was former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, who had important function in Maasai.
Sources say Raila missed the ceremony after receiving intelligence that he could be humiliated in front of the more than 2000 visitors who had gathered to say good bye to one of the toughest first ladies in Africa.
