Everton manager Roberto Martinez has been sacked
The Spaniard, who has been in charge for three years, has been under increasing pressure after a poor season in which Everton are on course for a mid-table Premier League finish.
Everton are currently holding position 12 with 44 points,2 behind 11th position, Swansea City.
Since Mrtinez became in charge of Everton, his team has never lost the number of matches it has lost so far this season. According to statistics, the team has lost a total of 13 matches, winning only 10 matches.
Marinez retired from playing in 2007 to become manager of Swansea City, leading them to promotion from League One as champions. He then joined Wigan Athletic in 2009, helping the club avoid relegation for three consecutive seasons. In his fourth season Wigan were relegated, but won the FA Cup for the first time in the club’s history. At the end of that season he left to become the manager at Everton.
