It is a sad morning for a family in Kisii after losing one of their members. The man who was photographed being brutalized by police in Nairobi CBD during CORD anti-IEBC demonstrations is dead.
The CORD supporter, whose real name is Boniface Manono, died at a Nairobi Hospital after suffering severe injuries.
The photo that went viral on social media showed three police officers chasing the unarmed man, who unfortunately fell down, beating him mercilessly before they left him to take the last breath. He was rushed to hospital but succumbed to injuries.
Meanwhile, police have been accused of using excessive force on demonstrators, a clear sign that the country is not yet out of Moi era.
