Kanze Dena and Lulu Hassan will no longer be in Citizen Nipashe, a show that trends every Sunday.
The two presenters will be replaced by Salim Swaleh, an experienced journalist who has previously worked for Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), serving as a Senior Editor at the station.
Accepting the new appointment, Swaleh noted:
“I am grateful to the Royal Media Services management for the opportunity they have given me to showcase my talent. I came in as Swahili News Editor but the top management had faith in me, and they have created a news programme that will incorporate me on Sundays. I am happy,”
The Sunday Nipashe show will be renamed Nipashe Jumapili and will have additional topics ranging from politics, economy and current affairs.
It is not clear where the duo, Kanze and Lulu, will go but it is believed they have been sacked.
