The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has sent principals of Itierio Boys High School, Tengecha Boys and Nyamache Boys on Compulsory Leave.
Preliminary report submitted to TSC indicated the principals have a case to answer after it was determined they didn’t do enough to prevent the strikes.
The Principals received dismissal letters last week as they await final verdict, perhaps sacking.
They positions have been filled by acting principals who may be confirmed later after investigations are completed.
Also sent on compulsory leave are their deputies.
Students of the three schools had simultaneous strikes in a span of one week, destroying property amounting to over Ksh 30 million.
Principals have been advised not to admit students from the said schools.
