Itierio Girls Secondary School has been closed after fire burnt down a dormitory and other property.
The fire, which started at 10 am, destroyed over 80 % of the personal belongings, prompting the school principal Stella Matara to close down the school.
The fire broke out when the entire school was attending a Sunday mass at the school compound. The cause has not been established.
The School becomes the eighth to be torched in the county within a span of one month.
Those affected so far include Itierio Boys, Nyamache Boys, Omobera Girls, Magena Boys, Naikuro secondary, and St Peters Nyamesocho
