Jose Eduardo dos Santos is the President of Angola. The longest serving president of the oil rich country holds the position of the richest President in Africa.
Eduardo dos Santos has ruled the country since 1979, beating veteran rulers like Mugabe and Museveni of Uganda. During his rule, the 73-year-old has amassed a lot of wealth, invested heavily in all sectors of economy.
According to Forbes, the Angolan President is worth a whopping $20 billion, which is more than 5 times the wealth of U.S President Barrack Obama.
His wealth comprises of a number of hotels, 4 homes in different countries, 25 % stake in Unitel, Angola’s first private mobile phone operator.
He is the biggest shareholder in Portuguese media conglomerate, Zon.
The President also owns several apartments and houses in Luanda.
