Budalangi Member of Parliament, Ababu Namwamba is expected to meet CORD leader Raila Odinga this week at Capitol Hill.
Namwamba, who announced last week that he doesn’t subscribe to ODM anymore, has made a u-turn after being advised by electorate and some members from Jubilee coalition that his political career is over.
The Nairobi University Law graduate has requested a meeting with the former Prime minister, which will see the two iron out their differences. In the meeting, Namwamba will also seek to have his seat back and also more powers to make critical decisions for the party.
As if that is not enough, Namwamba has also demanded that he must have at least one meeting with Raila every month so as to strategize for 2017.
But several CORD legislatures, led by John Mbadi, have requested Raila not to listen to Namwamba. They believe he has betrayed the party, and since he has no say in Western Kenya he should be ignored at all costs.
The Budalangi MP is desperate to re-join ODM after realizing his friends have deserted him. Signs were clear over the weekend when only Isukuti dancers o accompanied him to a press conference. Even his friend,Paul Otuoma was not around to give him warmth.
