Sonko To Join CORD But…

Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko has indicated he is ready to join CORD but on condition that Wiper Party leader, Kalonzo Musyoka, becomes the flag bearer.

Sonko confirmed that if it’s Raila who will carry the presidential ticket, he won’t join the coalition; instead he will support President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Sonko was speaking in Eastern Kenya when he was challenged to quit Jubilee over frustrations. But he was reluctant to state that he would quit Uhuru’s party before 2017.

Though the Senator reluctantly admitted he is not so comfortable at Jubilee especially this time when he is facing Dennis Waweru and Johnson Sakaja for the Nairobi Gubernatorial seat, the Senator’s body language would tell his heart is in CORD.

Sources close to Sonko say the Senator believes beating Kidero while in Jubilee will be an uphill task, but if he jumps ship to Kalonzo’s party, 2017 will be a smooth sail.
