Water Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa is flexing his muscles to become the Governor of Nairobi but chances of him beating Sonko and Kidero are very slim. Here is why.

According to reliable source close to him, Eugene’s total wealth is not even above Ksh 700 million. The source says the minister only owns land in Kitale, houses and a law firm. He has no other solid assets.

Comparing Eugene and Kidero, the former is believed to own less than 10 % of Kidero’s wealth.

Analysts say the only person who can remove Kidero from the seat is sonko. This is because Sonko is rich enough to run a well-oiled campaign and is highly acceptable across all tribes.

Now, the main reason why Jubilee is proposing Wamalwa for the seat is because they want the minister to run on Amani party so that he can divide CORD votes. They believe that if the Luhya votes are eliminated from CORD pool of potential votes, the Kikuyu votes will make Dennis Waweru win the seat.By the way Dennis Waweru is the preferred candidate for Jubilee Party.
