Tom Cholmondeley, A Man Who Shot Dead Two Kenyans is Dead

Tom Cholmondeley, the son of the 5th Lord Delamere is dead.

Cholmodeley died on Wednesday at MP Shah Hospital in Nairobi where he had gone for hip replacement.

At exactly 2 pm on Wednesday, the curtain fell on one of the most controversial white men in Kenya. He succumbed to cardiac arrest.

In April 2005, Mr Cholmondeley shot and killed a Kenya Wildlife Service game ranger at his expansive Soysambu ranch, near Lake Naivasha.He was arrested, remanded but later released under unclear circumstances.

In 2006, he again killed a man in his farm. He was arrested and imprisoned for murder. But was released in October, 2009.

Cholmondeley is one of the beneficiaries of Delamere’s ranches in Naivasha and Nakuru.The family own more than 30,000 acres of land.
