Mwai Kibaki Suffers Stroke,Admitted at Karen Hospital

Former president Mwai Kibaki was rushed to Karen Hospital on Sunday morning after suffering from stroke at his home in Muthaiga.

The former president was later transferred to South Africa for specialized treatment.

Sources close to the family say Kibaki is under the care of Kenyan doctors with assistance from specialists from South Africa.

The third president of Kenya lost his wife, Lucy, in April 2016 while undergoing treatment at Bupa Cromwell Hospital in London

The 84-year-old was involved in a fatal accident in 2017, which affected his health.
