There was drama on Friday when Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho disappointed Raila’s confidant, Eliud Owalo by rejected his phone call 10 times.Mr Owalo later wrote an SMS to make Joho Aware who was calling-perhaps Joho was not aware who was calling!
Expecting a positive answer and knowing very well Joho was aware it was Mr Owalo, the Kibera aspiring MP then called later. But the Governor, instead of picking the call blocked the number-Eliud had become a nuisance.
After the incident,Mr Owalo took his frustrations to Facebook. This is what he wrote about Joho:
“CONCERNS OVER THE REAL INTENTIONS OF THE SO-CALLED GOVERNOR JOHO POLITICAL TOUR OF NAIROBI THIS WEEKEND
Dear Governor Joho,
Good afternoon Ndugu.
I did place an unsuccessful call to you this morning to confirm the veracity or otherwise of rumours which are abound to the effect that you intend to use your political tour across certain constituencies in Nairobi this weekend to endorse certain preferred ODM 2017 Parliamentary candidates for selected constituencies in Nairobi.
I advise that you devote your Weekend’s political activities in Nairobi SOLELY and EXCLUSIVELY for the purposes of marketing Raila Odinga 2017.
However,should there be any departure from the above,through overt or covert actions to achieve mundane,petty and parochial hidden or malicious intentions such as marketing certain preferred ODM 2017 Parliamentary Candidates,whether in Kibra Constituency or any where else for that matter,be it directly or by implication,then kindly get it from me that some of us will resist the same in the strongest terms possible.
My humble submission is that we all pool our efforts towards the common overall objective of advancing Raila Odinga;s 2017 Presidential Candidature but LET THE PEOPLE DECIDE whom they want to be their elected ODM leaders for lesser positions,as anything to the contrary will adversely affect our Presidential Campaigns.
By a copy of this,I have notified the Party Leader,amongst other relevant Party officials,of the same.

Joho,who is growing stronger and healthier each day, is expected to lead ODM leaders for a rally in Nairobi.One of the main reasons why ODM is holding a series of Rallies is to introduce candidates who are expected to vie for various seats in the forthcoming general elections.Mr Owalo is eyeing the Kibera parliamentary seat. But sources at Orange House say ODM leader Raila Odinga prefers his daughter, Rosemary Odinga to Eliud Owalo,and on Saturday she will be unveiled as the sole candidate for the seat on ODM ticket.
