It’s a Monday morning and one of Orange Kenya employees will receive job termination letter after extracting confidential information from the company’s database to get a phone number for a customer and later resulted to a WhatsApp conversation.
Laura Loro was shocked to find WhatsApp messages from a stranger. She composed herself and left the conversation to continue. That’s when the Orange employee revealed his identity. Laura went ahead and reported the matter to the telecommunication company.
The employee will be sacked this morning because of breaching company policies which do not allow employees to use confidential information for selfish interests.
