High voltage news reaching us from Wiper Party reveals that former Vice President, Kalonzo Musyoka has quit CORD coalition.
The unofficial report from Kalonzo’s inner circle tells us that the relationship between Kalonzo and ODM leader Raila Odinga is over and that the Kamba Kingpin is going alone to the next general election.
Kalonzo’s decision to quit CORD comes at a time when CORD is reorganizing itself to form a formidable coalition that will kick Jubilee out of power.Kalonzo is reportedly unhappy with some of the coalition members. He argues that he has been sidelined and that his position has been taken by former Raila ally, Charity Ngilu, and Amani leader Musalia Mudavadi.
Ngilu has officially joined CORD from Jubilee Party and she is expected to woo Kamba community into voting CORD coalition-she alongside Muthama will bear the responsibility.
Kalonzo was recently quoted blaming Muthama for working behind him with Raila’s friend, Orengo in fronting Raila as the most suitable presidential nominee for CORD. The relationship between the Wiper leader and Muthama has deteriorated to a point where they no longer talk to each other. What has now remained is for Kalonzo to pull out of the coalition, and it has happened.
