There are over 20 business courses you can pursue in Kenya but not all the courses are well-paying. If you are interested in earning attractive salary package, you must pursue the best business degree courses.

Research shows that the following are the highest paying business courses in Kenya

  1. Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)

Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) is the highest paying professional certification in the country. When you possess CFA, even an individual who possess a PhD in Finance will earn less than you.

CFA holders work for investment banks, stock brokers, real estate firms, insurance companies and government institutions. As of today, the average monthly salary of a Financial Analyst with a qualification in CFA is Ksh 280,000.

But as you prepare to pursue CFA, you should be warned that completing the entire program is like pursuing a PhD in Medicine, but the good news is that there are several people who have completed the course.

  1. Bachelor of Commerce

In Kenya, we have bachelor of business administration, bachelor of business management and bachelor of commerce, but bachelor of commerce beats the two in terms of marketability and salary packages earned by individuals who possess a degree on the same.

In B.Com you can specialize in marketing, finance, accounting or purchasing and supplies but people who specialize I finance generally earn more than the rest.

The average starting salary of fresh graduate with B.Com is Ksh 70,000.The salary, however, grows significantly as one gains enough experience to execute even higher level duties.

  1. Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)

Most Kenyans rush to pursue CPA, thinking it’s the best professional certification in Kenya; I can assure you that if you attend an interview with an individual with ACCA certification, you will come out empty handed.ACCA is globally recognized as the best professional certification for auditors. With ACCA qualification and B.Com, you will smile all the way to the bank-the only problem in Kenya is that opportunities are few.

The reason why CPA is so junior to ACCA is because CPA is only popular in Kenya, past this country it’s useless.

4 .Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)

Certified Fraud Examiner is another course considered one of the fastest growing careers in Kenya. The course is suitable for individuals with a background in Criminology and forensic science courses or business related training. These people usually work for government security agencies, private security firms, ant-corruption firms and audit companies.

Auditors with this qualification earn almost twice those with CPA earn, meaning it’s more superior to CPA.

  1. Actuarial Science

Actuarial Science doubles up as a mathematics & statistics course and a business course. In Kenya, people who possess actuarial science professional courses are a happy lot, though they are less than 30.

As of today, the average salary of a professional actuary in Kenya is Ksh350,000.
