President Uhuru Kenyatta has nominated Wafula Chebukati as the new IEBC Chairman to replace outgoing Chair Isaack Hassan.
In a statement issued by State House Spokesman, Manoah Espisu, the President also appointed the following persons to the position of members of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

The nomination of Mr. Wafula Chebukati might be opposed by CORD and NASA leaders after it emerged that the CEO and the newly appointed chairman come from the same community.
