This January it seems Jumia and Kilimall, two giant online stores in Kenya, are selling digital TV flat screens and smartphones at a throw away prices. This scenario is also replicated in Luthuli and Moi Avenues where most shops sell genuine smartphones at unbelievably low prices.
The reason why most products are almost half priced is because most people spent their cash during festive season, leaving nothing to buy gadgets. At the moment, everyone is strained, and the only money they have is for food and transport.
We have noted that INFINIX Hot 4 (X557) – 5.5″ – 16GB – 2GB RAM – 8MP Camera – Dual SIM – Black,was selling at Ksh13,500 at Jumia in December but you can now acquire the phone at Ksh 9,800
In December, TECNO Phantom 6 – 5.5″ – 32GB – 3GB RAM – 13MP Camera – Dual SIM – 4G/LTE – Grey,was selling at Ksh 26,000 in Jumia but right now you can buy the phone at Ksh23,000.
At Jumia and Kilimall,Sonia Bravia Digital TV which is 32 inch is now going for not more than Ksh27,000 but if you are living in Nairobi,you can as well find the same in Luthuli Avenue at Ksh23,000 .
The same trend is replicated at Safaricom, Kilimall and other companies in Nairobi.
If you are within Nairobi and perhaps you wish to buy shoes,clothes,smartphones and diital TVs,this is the right time to do so…just before March 2017 when the prices will normalize.
