Two flagship mobile phones are expected to be released in 2017, Tecno Phantom 7 and HTC M11 are the smartphones highly anticipated in the African market. The two companies are expected to announce the release of the smartphones in March,2017.
HTC M11 will succeed it’s predecessor,HTC M10,whose only competitors were iPhone 7 and Samsung and Samsung S7.In April 2017,HTC’s flagship smartphone,M11 will be unveiled, and the gadget is expected to have the following features:
- A metal shell
- …Or a glass back
- An edge-to-edge screen
- A 5.5-inch QHD display
- A curved screen
- A secondary display
- Snapdragon 835 chipset
- 8GB of RAM
- 256GB of storage
- A 12MP snapper
- No dual-lens
- 3,700mAh battery
- A futuristic ‘Sense Touch’ feature
- Vive branding
- No headphone port
The smartphone will also have a 5.5-inch 1440 x 2560 display – an upgrade on the 5.2-inch HTC 10 screen. It will also have a curved display, which will match Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.
HTC M11 will initially retail at $700
Apart from HTC M11, another phone which is expected to hit the market is Tecno Phantom 7, which is expected to be released in April this year.
The Tecno Phantom 7 is supposed to sport a Helio X25 processor along with a 4 GB worth of RAM and a 4,000 mAh battery pack. The device will have a 5.95-inch AMOLED Display and a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels.
The smartphone will 256GB. We are not sure yet if the Tecno Phantom 7 will come with that amazing fingerprint sensor.
