In future tenders and government jobs will be advertised through www.mygov.co.ke, which is a Kenyan website launched to adverse all state jobs and tenders, including county vacancies.
The website, which is built on WordPress Theme, will be have government news, jobs, tenders and other important information concerning the Kenyan government. This means that our main newspapers, Standard, Nation and the Star will not feature those adverts, which is a big blow to them considering the billions of Ksh they generate from those advertisements annually.
Management of various media stations have complained, terming the move as suspect and intended to intimidate media houses. But the government has maintained that they are in the process of cutting costs and this move is one of the many things they would do in future to endure efficiency in public service.
From now henceforth, you have to visit www.mygov.co.ke to view latest government jobs and tenders.
