Government fierce critic and Investigative Journalist, Mohammed Ali has quit KTN to contest for Nyali Parliamentary Seat.
Ali, who has been on Jicho Pevu show for close to a decade ,said on 1st March, 2017:
“ Today I officially declare that I am in the race to be the next Member of Parliament for Nyali Constituency. I have stood up for you for over a decade, and used my voice to amplify yours. Now, I ask you to stand with me. Inside the National Assembly, there is a quote that says “For the just government of men.” Yet Justice has fled from that once honourable house. The journalist is expected to replace the current Nyali Member of Parliament Hezron Awiti Bollo,who will be contesting for Mombasa Gubernatorial Seat.
Though Ali has not announced the party he will use for the contest, it’s highly expected that he will be in NASA since he is Raila’s close ally.
Mr.Ali is expected to suspend his Jicho Pevu programme or he delegate duties to Dennis Onsarigo,who is also allied to CORD leader Raila Odinga.
