If you are employed by the Government of Kenya,you are placed into categories, commonly referred as Job Group”. Different salaries are attached to particular job groups, such that if you are in job group A, you will earn slightly less than an individual in job group B.
The highest paid government employee under these job groups is one in Job group T,who pockets a monthly salary of Ksh.152,060 – 302,980.The lowest paid is an employee of the government in job group A, who earns Ksh.8, 910 – 9,420 per month.

Job Group K persons are degree holders while those in Job group H are Diploma
holders.
On Job Training
Persons under Job group J are scheduled to undertake extensive job training, it is the
entry level for degree graduates.
Those in Job Group G are scheduled to undergo on-job training upon recruitment, is
the entry level for diploma graduates who are scheduled to undergo on-job
training upon recruitment.
