SGR Madaraka express will make a single trip from Mombasa to Nairobi while another one will make one trip from Nairobi to Mombasa. The departure time from both locations will be 9.00am each day.
The service is currently offering daily express services, Mombasa- Nairobi & Nairobi-Mombasa only stopping in Mtito Andei.
Tickets:
Purchase of tickets is at the Termini; Nairobi/Mombasa Terminus. Online purchase modalities in progress.
Booking – up to four days before date of travel.
Train schedule:
Nairobi-Mombasa – 9a.m.
Mombasa-Nairobi – 9a.m.
Cost; Kshs 700 for economy and Kshs 3,000 for first class.

Age 3-11yrs half price
Above 11yrs full price
Free transfers to and from Nairobi and Mombasa Termini.

Mombasa @ Old Mbs Railway Station
Nairobi @ Nairobi Railway Station in town.
Offer of transfers valid up to 6th June, 2017.
The trains will take a maximum of 5.30 hours in a single trip of 300 kilometers (from Nairobi to Mombasa and vice versa), 3 hours less than the time buses take for the same trip.
