Classic FM’s Maina Kageni has announced he will run for Nairobi Women Representative seat as an independent candidate.
Speaking after today’s morning show,Kageni revealed he has made the bold decision after being pressured by his listeners and fans, arguing that he can articulate women issues more efficiently than women themselves.

Maina has thrown himself in the race against ODM’s Esther Passaris and Rachel Shebesh of Jubilee Party.The presenter is expected to resign from Radio Africa to run his campaigns. But according to his close associates, Maina’s statement is just a prank.
