News from IEBC indicates that Wavinya Ndeti has been disqualified from contesting for Machakos Gubernatorial seat.
IEBC Disputes Resolution Tribunal Chaired by Chairman Wafula Chebukati nullified the nomination of Wavinya Ndeti as Wiper gubernatorial candidate for Machakos County on grounds that she was a member of two parties, CCU and Wiper. This was after the aspiring governor joined NASA before resigning from her current party, CCM
The latest developments leaves Alfred Mutua smiling after it had earlier emerged Wavinya would beat him in the race for the county top job.
IEBC’s decision is however contestable and Wavinya is expected to proceed to court tomorrow.
